November. The first month of the Celtic year. Called Beith or Birch. New start, beginning, cleansing. The wood of the birch tree brings blessings, protection, and bright energy. Time to pack the foundations, fill the larder, and can the last of the harvest in preparation for the cold months ahead. The year starts in the isolating months of darkness for introspection and cleansing of the psyche. Dig deep and cull out what is done, over, or toxic. Prepare for the awaking of Spring.
